Different types of warts differ in shape, location, size. They can have a different color – flesh, light, pinkish, brown. There are white and red growths.
Warts are far from all skin formations. Their color may indicate the type of anomaly, the causes of its appearance, and also signal the degeneration of benign cells into oncogenic ones. Suspicious changes in the skin, noticed at an early stage, help to seek medical help in a timely manner and avoid possible dangerous consequences for the body.
What does the appearance of red formations on the skin indicate?
If pink or red warts appeared on the genitals or anus, then this may indicate a person is infected with papillomavirus, which causes genital warts. Their appearance on the genitals may be accompanied by discomfort, itching, pain. HPV is transmitted, causing the occurrence of such growths, sexually.
The appearance of red spots and growths often occurs due to problems within the body. Such formations are not considered warts, and the reason for their development is not the human papillomavirus.
The occurrence of such anomalies can provoke:
- Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, liver and pancreas. Numerous dots of red shades will indicate this – burgundy, bright raspberry. The distribution throughout the body of such formations has its own characteristic feature – they are localized only in its upper part. With exacerbations of hepatitis or pancreatitis, red dots necessarily increase;
- Hematologic problems. With such violations, various hemorrhages often occur. They may leave red spots on the skin;
- Lack of vitamins C and K.
A pathological discoloration of the epidermis may occur as a result of its mechanical damage.
A separate group of skin lesions that have a red color are hemangiomas. This name has benign tumors that develop from the lymphatic or blood vessels.
Hemangiomas can be located on the face and body. They reach two to three centimeters in diameter, and if damaged, bleed heavily.
Hemangiomas can occur even in newborns. It should be remembered that in the normal state they do not show themselves in any way. Therefore, if you experience discomfort in the area of red dots on the skin, you should definitely visit a doctor.
Why white growths occur
The appearance of white warts on the genitals can also indicate the spread of genital warts. These growths are single and multiple. Their color varies from very light to burgundy.
If white formations appeared not in the genital area, but on the body, this may be an indicator of the occurrence of achromy – discoloration of the skin. Pathology is often manifested due to the presence of the following factors:
- Progression of autoimmune diseases;
- Dysfunctions of the endocrine glands;
- Long sun exposure;
- Hereditary predisposition;
- Stress, mental trauma;
- Vegetovascular disease;
- Hormonal surges;
- Poisoning with toxins;
- Bad habits;
- Injuries to the skin;
- Lack of nutrients and vitamins.
There are times when initially dark warts become white. Such a color change may indicate the degeneration of benign skin cells into a cancerous tumor – melanoma. If there is an increase in white spots, their itching, burning or changing shape, you should immediately consult a doctor.
What brown warts say
Tubercles of a very dark color can often be observed on different parts of the body in old people. Black and brown warts occur due to age-related changes in the body. They are completely harmless and are not transmitted to another person.
Senile warts begin to appear after forty-five years. First, the skin is covered with characteristic light brown marks, which, over time, harden, darken and become convex.
At the initial stage, brown and black warts can be confused with age spots of the same color. However, they are distinguished by a rough surface and keratinized structure.
Sometimes a wart is not completely dark. Black and brown dots (one or several) are visible on its surface. Such a phenomenon may not be noticed immediately, but several months after the appearance of the tubercle.
The presence of dark dots indicates the formation of a kind of “root” in the wart. Through it, the growth on the skin receives nutrients and oxygen. Especially noticeable are such brown cores on the tongues (plantar seals).
Pink, yellow, corporal warts can turn brown over time. If the modification occurred gradually (over many months or years), then this is considered normal.
Blackening of the wart is natural after the start of its treatment. This is how the process of dying of its cells after exposure to external cauterizing agents, refrigerants or tablets can manifest itself.
If the skin formation has darkened very quickly (for several weeks or days) for no apparent reason, this is a signal of the need to visit a doctor. Such a color change may indicate the course of the following anomalies:
- Joining the bacterial infection papillomavirus progression process;
- The onset of inflammation of the upper layer of the wart due to possible damage to its tissues;
- The degeneration of a benign tumor into a cancerous tumor.
For any suspicious visual changes in the growths on the skin or the appearance of warts of a strange color, you should consult your doctor. It is strictly forbidden to self-medicate in these cases. A person without a medical education cannot make a correct diagnosis, and, therefore, determine the need and methods of treating a wart.
