All types of warts are a dermatological problem that occurs in almost every third inhabitant of the planet. They differ from each other in appearance, location and size, but the reason for their appearance is the same – the papillomavirus.
There are small viral growths that appear in the armpit and neck. They usually do not cause a person any inconvenience and are considered a minor cosmetic defect. But in medical practice, huge soft warts are also quite common, which cause pain and damage the appearance.
Where do they come from?
A huge wart, liquid in appearance – is the result of the activity of human papillomavirus infection that enters the body from the outside. You can become infected with it:
- when wearing someone else's clothing;
- in the process of unprotected intercourse;
- when using other people's personal hygiene items;
- during physical contact with an infected person (handshakes, hugs, kisses).
Also, the disease can be hereditary and transmitted from a sick woman to a child in the process of bearing the fetus.
A number of factors can increase the likelihood of a virus infection:
- chronic dermatological diseases;
- serious diseases of the internal organs;
- wrong lifestyle (smoking, drinking, drug addiction);
- lack of hygiene;
- decreased immunity (seasonal, during pregnancy, after surgery).
The difference between a wart and a tumor
Soft large growths change their color over time, becoming pinkish or lilac. Slight redness is often mistaken for a malignant tumor, which causes panic in a common person.
An ordinary watery wart differs from a malignant neoplasm:
- light shade;
- lack of bleeding;
- painlessness when feeling the area of skin around it.
If the growth began to bleed and turn blue, then there is a possibility that it began to degenerate into oncology.
Diagnosis and removal of soft growths
You can recognize a viral wart during the initial examination of the patient. In this case, the diagnosis is prescribed only to identify the level of its oncogenicity. To establish a more accurate diagnosis, the doctor makes a biopsy (taking a sample of the neoplasm) and sends the biological material to histology. According to the results of laboratory tests, a dermatologist selects the necessary treatment.
A benign neoplasm is preferably removed using cosmetic methods:
- laser cutting;
- destruction of the growth by electric shock or radio waves;
- freezing with liquid nitrogen.
The above methods are able to cut off a watery wart with a cavity and there will be no scars in its place.
You can get rid of soft volume papilloma on the body with the help of traditional medicine recipes, which, for many centuries, our ancestors treated the symptoms of papillomavirus infection. The most popular means were:
- vinegar lotions;
- tincture of celandine.
Acetic acid lotions
Vinegar effectively fights warts of various sizes and to remove hanging tumors, it is necessary to moisten a piece of cotton wool or gauze in 9% acid and apply a lotion to the location of the growth. The components of the vinegar essence quickly penetrate deep into the structure of the papilloma and destroy the viral cells.
Before using this method, care must be taken to lubricate the healthy skin around the wart with a thick layer of petroleum jelly or baby cream. A protective coating will protect the epidermis from the aggressive effects of vinegar and prevent the appearance of chemical burns.
Contraindications to the use of vinegar lotions:
- acute dermatological diseases;
- high sensitivity of the skin to acid.
Also, this method is not suitable for the removal of genital warts, as well as large papillomas on the mucous membranes of the mouth.
Celandine against growths
You can get rid of soft hanging tumors using tincture of celandine. To prepare the drug you need to take:
- an opaque container with a tightly sealed lid;
- vodka – 0.5l;
- celandine – 1 kg.
The grass is crushed, after which the juice from the resulting slurry is expressed in a prepared container. Then it should be left for 48 hours in a dark and cool place.
After two days, half a liter of vodka is poured into the juice, and a mixture of the two ingredients is infused for another 2-3 days. The finished drug can be stored throughout the year. They are treated with a growth at least twice a day until the wart dies completely.
A contraindication to the use of celandine was:
- allergy to the plant;
- age up to 5 years;
- dermatological infections.
Thread wart removal
The hanging wart is easiest to remove with an ordinary silk thread, which is tightly wound on the leg of the growth at its very base. Before the procedure, the thread, as well as the place of removal of the neoplasm, must be disinfected with an antiseptic liquid:
- medical alcohol;
- hydrogen peroxide;
Papilloma, deprived of blood supply, will begin to gradually blacken and after about a week there will be no trace of it.
Despite all the effectiveness, this method can cause negative consequences:
- malignant growths;
- the development of a viral infection under the upper epidermal layer;
- papilloma inflammation.
Therefore, before proceeding with treatment, you must first consult a dermatologist. Only he can talk about the possibility of using this method in a particular case.
